Quanta School, "Web3 Family Office"

Premium blended course on managing Web3 assets with the Family Office method: 2 months with a weekly cycle of sessions, 4 cohorts completed, 32 students, lesson usefulness 98%.

About the course

A premium blended course on the Family Office method built on Web3. Each participant's portfolio was shaped by the investor's risk profile and capital, followed by a choice of financial instruments and a strategy for each market state. The final modules cover legal and analytical outsourcing for very large sums and end with an NFT certificate.

The first iteration was a 9-month series of twice-weekly live calls run by another methodologist. The second iteration of the product was handed over to me to manage, and the course was rebuilt as a reproducible blended course for the next 4 cohorts.

ADDIE: my part

  1. Analysis

Involved: Ran a series of surveys in the Telegram channel: open questions that surfaced the audience's pains and checked whether people understood the terms the course uses. The starting point was the first iteration, a 9-month series of live calls.

  2. Design

Involved: Designed the course from an end-to-end case, a portfolio simulation in which each student works toward a target cash flow, using Kolb's experiential cycle. Designed the rhythm, the content, and the seminars and lectures.

The rhythm followed a weekly cycle: Friday to Monday was set aside for the materials, Tuesday for a practice seminar with an analyst, Wednesday for question prep and Thursday for a theory-and-practice session with the lead speaker. The simulation runs for 2 months in Google Sheets: each student sets a target passive income and capital, and the modules are mapped to market states and income types.

  3. Development

Involved: Defined and edited the lesson videos from the live-call recordings, defined the lesson pages, wrote the Tuesday seminar scripts and designed the decks for the Thursday sessions.

  4. Implementation

Involved: Ran 4 cohorts, 32 people in total, through to the end: uploaded all the materials, communicated with the students and covered the whole rollout and day-to-day running, including the portfolio simulation. Gave second-line content support on wallets, fees, bridges, networks and block explorers; protocol selection and options hedging went to the analyst. The live sessions ran with the analyst and the lead speaker.

  5. Evaluation

Involved: Collected two six-point ratings after every lesson, usefulness and likelihood to apply: about 5.9 of 6 on average (98% usefulness). Closed each cohort with end-of-course student interviews. 12 of 32 students moved to the paid community and paid for another year.
